Taq PolymeraseIntroductory price of $.18 per Unit! (USA) Our Taq is unmodified, thermostable enzyme purified from Thermus aquaticus. It replicates DNA at 74°C and possesses a 5' - 3' exonuclease activity. It has a half life of 40 minutes at 95°C. CONCENTRATION: 5 units/µl. STORAGE BUFFER: 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 100 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.5% Tween® 20; 0.5% Nonidet® P-40; 50% glycerol. STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Store at -20°C, in a constant temperature freezer. 10X REACTION BUFFER: 500 mM KCl, 100 mM Tris-HCl (pH 9 at 25°C), 1% Triton® X100 (magnesium free). QUALITY CONTROL: No Detected Activity For; non-specific endonucleases, nickases, or exonucleases. PCR Tips 1. Don’t use too much DNA template. Use a maximum of about 0.1 - 1 ng of DNA template per ul of PCR reaction. 2. Don’t preheat your template for more than 1-2 min. at 95°C. Too much heat can depurinate your template. 3. During the extension step, try extending at 68°C, or even lower, such as 62-65°C, rather than 72°C .
